2006 Christmas Cruise Recap Each year the Carolina Camaro Association holds a Christmas Cruise for Kids Show to benefit the Shriner's Children Hospital in Greenville, SC. For 2006, the event was held on November 18th at the Hendrick Motorsports facility near Lowe's speedway. There was a record 235 cars registered under the clear, Carolina blue sky. All in all, the event collected 200+ toys from initial entry "fees" and close to $2700 in donations. These donations were transformed into an additional 300+ toys (special thanks to K-Mart in Conover for their help). These toys were delivered to the children on 11/27/06. There were multiple classes for all types of cars with awards for Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, and Top Dog to name a few.
